Living one's life without Giving in one's life leaves for a spiritual void. Here are some worthwhile charities I have stumbled upon during my travels. These charities include Animal Care / Natural habitat preservation and addressing Child poverty. To Give is to make the world a better place to live.
charities dedicated to the care, well being and continued support for Earth's great treasures. To Live, Give and Travel.
I have been traveling to the remote Caribbean island of St Eustatius for many many years. What always brings me back to the island is its serene virgin beauty, its rain forest volcano called the Quill and the giant nesting turtles. The islanders and the way they live and give of themselves while taking pride and care in preserving their unique island and its charms through the St Eustatius National Parks. The mission of the National Parks is to preserve the 4 National Parks on the island for the future generations to explore and enjoy.
I have traveled to the island of Bonaire a number of times now. Apart from being a beautiful scuba divers location with a great Dutch lifestyle, the island is also home to thousands of wild donkey's which live off its desert landscape freely which they have for 100's of years. However - due to increased traffic on the island brought from tourism dozens are killed and hundreds more face starvation / sickness. The sanctuary provides refuge for over 800 of them and gives then a chance at surviving in an other while cruel world.
charities committed to combating Child poverty and abuse while promoting healthy Live Give and Travel promise into adulthood.
Colombia is one of my favorite countries to travel and give to, for the culture and the lifestyle of its most friendly vibrant people. However, what's truly noticeable is the child poverty. As shown in the photo from Medellin. The photo was taken across the street from a Porsche dealer. What compounds the child poverty now are the millions of Venezuelan families that have likewise sought refuge in Colombia's big cities. To be a child in Colombia, chances are you will live poor, hungry and abused. |
The YMCA has a world wide quality reputations for supporting youth and vulnerable individuals and give them a leg up. When I travel its one of the charities I like to work with.
"the YMCA has been delivering life-enhancing programmed to young people and families in their communities around the world and all across Ireland. We have responded to events in history that have changed the face of the world and today we face another of these challenges as we endure this Covid-19 pandemic. The world is rapidly changing before our eyes and so like you, we are uncertain how deep and for how long, this virus will impact our lives."
Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada is the largest and only all-Canadian wish granting charity which gives wishes to vulnerable Canadian children between the ages of 3 and 17 who are diagnosed with a life-threatening and illness which may compromise their lives.. For more than 30 years, Children’s Wish has worked tirelessly to grant heartfelt wishes to more than 25,000 children and their families – that’s three wishes each and every day, all year long! This is another worthwhile charity, as you travel you realize how fortunate you really are.
